I appreciate you
And I’m even more grateful that some of you were generous enough to let me share your website audits here.
I audited 17 websites in total.
Some of the videos are 10-12 minutes long, and there’s over 1.5 hours of free learning content for you.
Firstly, I want to say that I was overwhelmingly pleased with the quality of sites.
Whether you got the advice from me or someone else, I don’t care.
I’m just happy to see that for the most part, you had implemented many of the techniques that I cover in my newsletter, on Twitter/X, and on YouTube.
Truthfully, they’re better than many of the $1+ million/year eCommerce sites I view on a daily basis.
Hats off to you.
All that being said, you didn’t ask me to pat you on the back.
So let’s get into the issues many of the sites had in common.
Specifically…
not optimizing collection pages properly (or at all in some cases)
not building internal links properly (mostly from blogs to collections)
misunderstanding keyword search intent (ex. targeting a money keyword with a blog post)
not publishing enough blog content (or publishing the wrong blog content)
inefficiently building topical authority (there’s a faster way to do it)
I’ve attached 8 of the Looms that I was given permission to share. If you have the time, I recommend you watching 1-2 of them.
While it’s not your site, you may find that you have some of the same issues.
If you watch a few of these videos on 1.5x speed, then implement the changes that I address, you will make more money.
You have to trade <20 minutes for a few extra thousand dollars/month — that might be the best deal you ever come across.
Anyways, onto the big reveal…
Here’s a list of the sites, categorized by the biggest issues they faced:
Dazzle Basket - category page formatting, blog content, and internal linking
Mirrors Direct - internal linking structure, specifically prioritizing the wrong pages
Fame’s Chocolates - optimizing collection pages, building topical authority around specific collections, and diversifying backlink profile
Shutterbombs - main menu/site structure, new collection opportunity, and mismatching search intent
Rover Roamer - targeting the wrong blog keywords and site structure/main menu
Neon Sign Life - collection pages, meta titles, and blog content
Pearl Sounds - conversion-focused collection pages, more efficient topical authority building, and internal linking
Marketing Sharks - niche/affiliate site, main menu, and internal linking
If anyone wants a further explanation on a particular issue, let me know. I’m more than happy to drill down further on any of them.
Catch you guys on Monday.
Kai
