Familiar with Google Remarking campaign?

Imagine this:

A woman looks into the mirror and notices that her hair has started thinning.

She immediately panics & grabs her phone.

She instinctively opens Google and types:

“How to stop thinning hair?”

She then learns about collagen supplements and decides that’s the first solution she’ll try out to solve her problem.

She then searches for “best collagen supplements for women’s hair growth.”

This leads her to a blog post on your brand’s website, which of course, sells collagen supplements.

Good on you for writing a high-value blog post that ranks #1 on Google - now you have a chance to turn her into a paying customer.

She reads through the entire blog, and even hovers above the catchy CTAs, but she closes the tab to go make herself a cup of coffee.

You messed up big time!

Or did you?

Not if you’re running a Google Remarketing campaign, and you installed the retargeting pixel on your site before she read that blog.

(If you’re not familiar with Google Remarketing, it’s a form of paid advertising where if a user visits your site but doesn’t buy anything, they’ll be shown personalized ads for your brand for the next few weeks on other sites they visit.)

So what happens next?

Well, whenever she browses the internet for the next few days & weeks, that retargeting pixel will follow her every move, collecting data about her online behavior.

Privacy is extremely dead btw.

Anyways, she’ll be shown personalized ads as the pixel collects data. These ads specifically showcase your brand's collagen supplements.

These ads are displayed to her on every single website within the Google Display Network, which includes 200+ million sites.

Basically, she’ll see your ad everywhere for the next few days, like she’s driving in circles around the same billboard.

It will always be front of mind for her.

And because she’s human, she’ll eventually succumb to the ads and purchase your collagen supplements.

And assuming you know how to operate a successful brand & you have a great product, you’ll get her onto a recurring subscription for your collagen supplements.

She’ll be a customer for life, just because you 1) wrote a great blog post and 2) set up the remarketing pixel.

This is the easiest layup you’ll get in eCommerce – don’t miss it.

Until next time,

Kai Cromwell
