I'm the new Snoop Dogg
He passed me the torch
Life comes full circle.
Earlier this week, I experienced this firsthand.
I signed a new eCom brand at my agency; this isn’t newsworthy.
But it’s a story worth sharing.
For the past 2 years, this brand has had awful experiences with two notable SEO agencies.
In fact, the founders of both of these agencies are two SEOs that I learned SEO from, way back in 2019 when I first begun.
I learned most of the foundational elements of SEO from these two, between their YouTube channels, websites, and newsletters.
I probably owe some percent of my current success to them — they created content in such a way that made SEO not only easy to learn, but fun to learn.
I’ve never met them, but they changed my life.
Both of these SEOs are industry leaders — but for the sake of their privacy, I won’t share their names.
But I guarantee that you know who they are.
I guarantee it…
But as they’ve grown their agencies, and created other companies, their service quality has decreased substantially.
To be fair to them, they don’t actually do any client work at their agency — they are just the CEO.
They create content and work on their other businesses.
BUT to be fair to this brand, and the other brands that have worked with these agencies, both CEOs need to improve their team’s service quality.
Or they will continue to lose clients.
To me.
A little over 5 years after learning from these guys on YouTube, I’ve now officially reached a point where brands turn to me instead of them as the experts.
The torch has been passed.
And a new era has begun.
No pressure.
