Strep throat sucks

I rolled over in bed to check my phone.

My throat felt like sandpaper.

I winced in pain every time I tried to swallow.

The water bottle on my nightstand felt like an oasis in the desert.

I took a quick drink before finally checking my phone.

"Who could possibly be texting me at this hour?”

I always keep my phone on Do Not Disturb, so the person that sent this text at this hour decided it was so urgent that they hit that little “Notify anyways” button.
